An old dog can learn new tricks
Things happen in garages, and I am always amazed when I hear that people try to hide accidents. At Worcester’s Mobile Mechanic we always inform customers of any damage done to their vehicle whilst in our care.
Recently we had a large camper in for it’s annual MOT and service.
Due in part to my time in the military – I was once a trained killer! – I instigated a “large vehicles are watched by two people policy” to avoid minor accidents when moving larger vehicles in and out of the garage.
I am happy to report that this damage to a customers camper was not due to one of my technicians ignoring that rule. This damage was caused by the independant MOT tester who was moving it using the reversing camera fittted to the van – apparently it was very deceptive.
We immediately photographed the damage, informed the customer, and then called in a specialist to repair the damage.
The MOT tester also learnt an important lesson, and agreed even an old dog can learn new tricks!
Even with this minor mishap, the vehicle still left on time!
Remember… a badly maintained vehicle is a breakdown waiting to happen!
