MOT looming – ABS light on – Definite fail
Even new parts can be faulty. In the recent past, this customer had had a new CV joint fitted and then the ABS warning light had come on. The garage they had used did not have a computer that would read their car, in this instance a KIA. We at Worcester’s Mobile Mechanic have more than four diagnostic computers and access to two others as we are in co-operative with the garages nearby. It was a simple task to find out the problem was on the CV joint side. Then we simply tested the sensor which was reading correctly and then we looked at the ring on the CV joint – it was buckled. This would not have immediately turned the light on!
We ordered a new ring and we had another satisfied customer!
Remember… A badly maintained vehicle is a breakdown waiting to happen!
