Drivers are often unaware of how many faults a vehicle will amass when stood for two years.
This perfectly good Audi sat on a lawn for two years. The customer then decided to put it on the road and tasked Worcester’s Mobile Mechanic to collect the vehicle and assess the faults.
After checking the cam belt and getting the vehicle running, we thoroughly inspected it. The biggest problem was the state of the brakes, the rear callipers had seized and all four discs were badly corroded. The bike pipes were also corroded.
Putting the car on our rolling road produced an all round brake failure for the MoT. It really was a case of “braking bad”!
Following an in depth conversation with the customer, the car had all the remedial work carried out and a full service. When all of this work was completed, the car was back to its former glory.
Remember a poorly maintained vehicle is a breakdown waiting to happen.
