This customer had the air conditioning in their car re-gassed at another garage.
A few days later the system stopped working and upon returning to the garage that filled the system, the customer was told that the warranty is only valid until the car leaves the premises.
Apparently a stone could damage the condenser at any time. Furthermore, they did not leak test the system and as it was fillable when they did the work the fault obviously occurred after the car left the premises.
The customer agreed to WMM’s charges to assess the fault and this proved to be a simple diagnosis.
When we removed the dust cap to the high pressure port, it was obvious the core valve was leaking. This was replaced and the air con worked as it should.
