Simple fix for leak
Modern vehicles are amazing and give sterling service. The problem is that some garages cut corners when carrying out repairs which can lead to problems further down the line.
Worcester’s Mobile Mechanic was asked to diagnose a fault on a pick up trick.
The customer was surprised to hear that the cylinder head gasket was faulty as this work had previously been done before by a garage in the south of England.
Knowing these trucks as well as we did, we knew a new head was the only way forward and quoted to renew the cylinder head gasket.
On starting the work, we noticed that the air conditioning was leaking and there was very little RG134A in the system.
We had to remove the condenser as we needed access to remove the head and discovered the leak was a simple fix, which we did as part of the repair.
Once back together, the air conditioning worked as it should – and so did the engine!
