What is a “proper” service?
People often tell us that a service is just an oil and filter change.
It is actually very difficult to quantify exactly what a “proper” service is and more importantly how to explain how what we do is different to other garages.
Despite having access to main dealer recommendations and even a checklist still does not cater for questions like this one.

This vehicle came in recently for a service. The customer accepted the quoted price, explaining he was going on a long trip in a few weeks and he did not want to break down.
These coolant pipes were just starting to rub on the crank pulley. To correct the situation only took an hour’s labour and the customer was very pleased that the pending fault was found.
If the vehicle had been in for just an oil and filter change, I do not think we would have spotted this potential breakdown.
Remember a poorly maintained vehicle is a breakdown waiting to happen.
